Welcome to Brum Young Leaders! We are an innovative educational organisation based in Birmingham, England.
Founded by Oxford University graduate Ashvir Sangha, we empower young people to flourish in a changing world.
Ashvir is the grandson of Sikh immigrants from India who came to Britain in the 1950s to work in factories. He attended King Edward’s School in Edgbaston scoring top grades at GCSE and A Level.
At university, Ashvir became President of both the Oxford Union and Oxford Entrepreneurs. Through the responsibilities he took on alongside his academic assignments, he grew to appreciate the power of ‘learning by doing’. He realised that the world of work really valued the mindset and skillset that experiential learning cultivates.
After graduating, Ashvir promoted and organised innovative workshops for young people around the world including in Hong Kong, India, the UK, Singapore and the Middle East.
Passionate about his hometown of Birmingham, he wants to make a contribution to a youthful, diverse and important city on the rise.
